European Union data and infrastructure project Gaia-X aims to accelerate the creation of digital infrastructures with data localization and sovereignty in Europe. Launched by 22 companies and organizations in 2019, Gaia-X has over 340 member companies.

DT Cloud is pursuing the goal of creating a fully secure and sovereign cloud infrastructure. We are  here to create a right ecosystem of trust and collaboration that creates innovations, while ensuring the highest possible degree of data sovereignty and compliances. We want people and organizations to be sure and not have any concerns about how their data is being processed and where it is kept. The aim is to develop a cloud infrastructure for the secure digitalization and interconnection of industries (like finance, healthcare, energy), governments (central and local), SMEs, etc. Our mission is to deliver cloud computing services and solutions which have a positive impact on the lives of people, organizations and society as a whole. We are committed to building a trusted, secure and transparent ecosystem that enables innovation and progress.

Support  for Turkish companies to open up in Europe

DT Cloud CEO Tolga Dinçer noted that they are proud to be a part of this project for institutions preparing for the future by participating in the Gaia-X project. He noted that with this participation, they aim to strengthen the activities started in Europe and to ensure full compliance of the international working institutions in Turkey with the European Union data and cloud regulations.

Tolga Dinçer said, “The Gaia-X project was born out of the need to develop a new generation digital infrastructure to ensure that Europe's values of transparency, openness, data protection and security are fully embedded.”  He also added “With this qualified data infrastructure, European service providers will be able to work together and exchange data. Considering the geopolitical developments on the agenda, European countries focus on secure solidarity on issues such as data privacy and digital sovereignty. In recent years, cybersecurity vulnerabilities have increased due to the huge amount of data generated by companies that have grown their digital footprints to meet demand.

If digital ecosystems are designed to meet data privacy requirements while promoting a secure flow of data, users can work without having to worry about security issues. The Gaia-X project emerges as an important project at this point. Itt aims to create a framework of open information technology standards and integrations to support decentralized regional, converged digital infrastructures. Gaia-X works for common data sources and infrastructure systems to ensure that stored data can be exchanged in accordance with European Union data protection regulations.”
